On the Way Back Home Tez KIM Special Exhibition

展期 Duration｜2026.08.10 (Mon.) - 2026.10.18 (Sun.)

ABOUT

Exhibition Statement:

The birth of a building is not simply about the completion of a house, but about the gradual formation of relationships between people and the land, and between life and space. Through Huan Yi Development Corp., Life Lab extends the spirit of the brand by bringing coffee, art, horticulture, and spatial design to the site before the building is completed. In doing so, the land becomes a place where people can pause, connect, and experience everyday life, while art becomes a medium that connects architecture with living.

Korean artist Tez KIM has long drawn inspiration from childhood memories, transforming fragments of adventure and growing up into vivid and pure visual expressions. Through deep colors and a sense of freedom in his compositions, his works unfold a journey between memory, imagination, and reality. Figures move toward an unseen distance, carrying the intuition and imagination of childhood, evoking the process through which life gradually moves from the unfamiliar toward the familiar. This visual language resonates with the spatial vision of Life Lab, while continuing KIM’s exploration of bringing art into everyday life and allowing his works to engage in dialogue with their surroundings.

On the Way Home is not simply about arriving at a destination, but about a process through which a way of living gradually takes shape. Home is built through the memories and experiences accumulated over time, while space creates the possibility for lives that have yet to unfold to begin.
