Yi-Ju Tsai
Artist Yi-Ju Tsai, lives and works in Taipei, graduated from the Graduate School of Visual Arts, Chiayi University. The artist deconstructs and mixes the subculture and popular images old and new
together to display a stage for both ancient and modern characters makes his art work unique and fresh. Through the brush strokes, rendering, texture layers, the artist’s painting integrates the oriental ink painting skill with the Western painting medium and form. He recently won the first prize of China Trust (CTBC) Contemporary Painting Prize, and his art works have been collected by art museums, art centers, foundations etc.
